#5. Malaysia Airlines Flight 370
On March 8, 2014 is the very day the Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 (Boeing 777-200ER) disappeared while flying from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia, to its destination, Beijing Capital International Airport in China. The disappearance of Flight 370 has been dubbed one of the greatest aviation mysteries of all time. Families did not know whether their loved ones are alive or dead.
This incident shook the world as a whole plane has never gone missing before. There was lots of speculation on what actually happened and led to the disappearance of an aircraft. The plane lost contact with the Air Traffic Control and no one had any idea where the plane was. What really happened is still unknown but the fact is we lost 239 passengers, the crew and a 300 tonne airplane.
