Mexico is a mine when it comes to plant and animal species and ecosystems making it one of the most bio-diverse places in the planet and a popular destination for nature lovers as well as scientists and researchers. The country boasts of vast tropical rain-forests, volcanoes, rugged terrains and canyons, cenotes, beaches, deserts, coral reefs and over 1500 species of animals among other attractions.

Popular sites in the country are like the Yucatan Peninsula which has over 2000 cenotes in it. The Mesoamerican barrier reef which is one of the largest in the world, the Copper Canyon, the Sumidero Canyon in southern Mexico and the Monarch Butterfly reserves just to mention a few.
