The 9/11 attacks, September 11, 2001 terrorist hijacked planes and had a well concocted plan to deliberately flew them into major landmarks killing thousands of civilians. 9/11 was one of the worst terror attacks that took place on American soil.
The hijackers crashed planes into the World Trade Centre’s North Tower and South Tower killing all passengers on both planes along with more than 2600 people in the Tower and surrounding areas.
Another plane crashed into part of the Pentagon, the U.S military headquarters in Arlington Virginia. The other crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The total body count added up to 3000 and over 6000 others severely injured who were most civilians.
