10 Best Places to See Northern Lights and Southern Lights

#4. Abisko, Sweden

Abisko is one of the places you can visit and see the Northern lights on a budget. This is helpful as you get to enjoy the view and not break your bank while at it. To see better if there’s strong aurora all you really need to do is get away from any light sources from surrounding towns if even just a few meters.

If you’re not outside you can just keep an eye on the Aurora Webcam to see if you need to run outside. Keep in mind that sometimes the Northern Lights will only appear for a minute or two, so if you need to be half asleep and half-awake to make sure you don’t miss them. Recommended months are October and November as it’s much quieter in Abisko then and not as cold.
